Lexicon Omega Desktop Recording Studio

The Lexicon Omega is a Digital Audio Computer based Studio that included both hardware and software. It can be used for professional and home studios as well as portable digital system and digital video post production. It connects to a PC or Macintosh computer via USB and interfaces directly with the Lexicon Pro Tracks Plus digital editor (PC) and BIAS' Deck 3.5 SE software.

The Omega has ASIO Drivers so you can now use this with Cubase 3.0, Nuendo, and any other ASIO supported applications. The WinXP drivers are MME that work at both 16-bit and 24-bit depths. It's capable of (6) channels of audio play/record via USB (4 record, 2 playback). The hardware includes 7 analog 24-bit 44.1kHz/48kHz sample rates inputs that breakdown as follows:

  • (2) XLR inputs
  • (4) 1/4" Tip-Ring-Sleeve balanced inputs
  • (1) 1/4" Hi-Impedance Instrument input (Line Level Guitar Preamp input)

Two of the inputs have XLR mic inputs with dBX preamplifers and 48Volt phantom power for connecting directly to most condenser and other powered microphones. Each TRS Input also has a TRS insert points that can be used for insert a compress or other effect after the preamplifer. There are also 4 TRS balanced line inputs accept up to +22dB signals. They also accept unbalanced signals (line level 1/4" instrument cable).
