The Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty has a very elegant and classic look. It features 3 humbucker pickups with gold pickup covers. The Bridge pickup is an Alnico Hot Humbucker with the middle and bridge pickups Alnico classic humbuckers. The three humbucker pickups are made to Epiphones specs and are double dipped in wax to reduce microphonic feedback. They have a rich creamy tone with plenty of output.

The controls are in a standard configuration with two tone controls and two volume controls. The 3-way pickup selector selects between each pickup: Bridge, Middle, and Neck. The hardware is all gold which gives the guitar it's very elegant look to it. The 24.75" scale length neck is made of Mahogany with 22 frets. The fingerboard is rosewood with block inlays. The tuners are gold as well as the stopbar tailpiece and tune-o-matic bridge.

The body of the guitar is made of Mahogany and Alder with a black catalyzed finish. The neck is set into the neck as opposed to bolt-on or neck through body. This gives the guitar great sustain and tone. The smooth and fast neck is a slim-taper very similar to that of the Gibson models. To increase the elegant look of the guitar the multi-binding is on top and back of the body as well as on the fretboard and headstock.
