Fender Telecaster '72 Thinline Telecaster with 'C' Shaped Neck |

The Fender 72 Thinline is a Replica of the classic originally made in 1972. There are two more notable items on this guitar: The first is the use of two humbucker pickups as oppose to the usual tele single coil pickups, and the 2nd is the 'F' Hole semi-hollow body. The body of the guitar is semi-hollow and is made of either Alder or Ash and comes in 3 finishes: 3-Color Sunburst, Natural, and Black. The top coat is a Polyester finish for years of wear. As previously mentioned one of the more unique features is the 'F' Hole semi-hollow body. This gives the guitar a rounder and warmer sound than other telecasters. The electronics are covered with a 4-Ply White Pearloid Pickguard. The Thinline's neck is a single piece of maple with a 'C' shape. It has a 25.5" scale length which is almost an inch longer than many other guitars. The 7.25" radius fretboard is maple as well with 21 vintage style frets with dot inlays. The die-cast machine heads are Schaller Vintage 'F' style tuners. The neck also features a 3-bolt plate with Micro-Tilt adjustment and a 'Bullet' truss rod. If you look at the headstock you'll see at the nut a chrome 'bullet' this is the truss rod. The strings are Fender Super 250L nickel plated steel strings (9 to 42). As for the Hardware: The Hardtail Bridge is vintage Strat style with string-through-body for excellent tone and sustain. The two humbucker pickups also give the guitar more output and tone. Fender calls these Humbuckers ‘ Wide Range’ and is placed at the bridge and neck positions. The 3-way pickup selector is in a standard configuration: Bridge, Bridge+Neck, and Neck. There is also a single volume and tone control that is applied to both pickups. If you are looking for something a bit different but full of great tone and charm the '72 Thinline might be worth spending sometime checking out. This is an authentic reissue in every detail.
