The RE20 Large Diaphragm Dynamic/Cardioid Mic that is great for broadcast and studio use. It uses a technology that EV developed in '54 called Variable-D® which helps reduce the low frequency boost caused by the proximity effect. This increases the voice intelligibility and has been a favorite for broadcast and podiums. It also sounds great on kick drums!

The PL33 is a dynamic kick drum mic with a supercardioid polar pattern. It is a low-cost alternative to the Electro-Voice RE20 dynamic kick drum mic. This mic is great for home studios and for road use. If you need a decent kick drum mic and can’t afford a D-112 or RE20 then this mic would be for you. The PL denotes Professional Live but the mics work well in the studio as well.

Electro-Voice PL80 Dynamic Vocal Mic
The PL80a is a supercardioid dynamic vocal mic made for the professional vocalist. Its designed to taken on the road or can be used in the studio. The mic has an “EQ-friendly” sonic profile with a highly detailed frequency response. It works really well for voice and vocals without sounding harsh or having to EQ the mic. It sounds good out of the box. The cardioid polar pattern increases the gain before feedback.
