Signal Processors

A signal process is usually a device or circuit that modifies an audio signal. They work either in the analog or digital domains and change the input signal in some linear or non-linear means. The most simple signal processor is the volume control which operates in a linear fashion as do delays. Other types of signal processors include compressors, limiters, phase shifters, pitch scalars, equalizers, and reverb. Multi-effect processors consist of a number of signal processors in a single unit.
